SIP Trunking: Trends, Challenges & Opportunities

On Wednesday, July 27th at 11:00 am EDT we explored the challenges and best practices associated with implementing SIP Trunking and how you can turn these challenges into opportunities with hosted and managed service offerings.

SIP Trunk services are growing in popularity across the globe, but an array of implementation challenges such as PBX incompatibilities, protocol nuances, fraud & security concerns, troubleshooting challenges, and customer/ partner portal complexities can lead to deployment delays and poor service quality. In a recent survey of nearly 1,100 enterprise telecommunications professionals, a SIP trunking service provider was cited as the leading source of VoIP/ UC problems. Service Providers must take action to correct these perceptions, instill customer confidence, and fully capitalize on this large and growing market opportunity.

On Wednesday, July 27th at 11am EDT, GENBAND will tackle these and other issues in our webinar, “SIP Trunking: Trends, Challenges & Opportunities”. GENBAND subject matter experts will team up with The SIP School to explore the challenges and best practices associated with implementing SIP Trunking and discuss how service providers can turn these challenges into opportunities with hosted and managed service offerings that transform fractured corporate communication environments into cohesive global enterprise-wide communications systems.

This session covered:

  • Multi-vendor Multicarrier Interworking
  • SIP Session Management, Fraud & Security
  • Troubleshooting and Analytics
  • Role of virtualization in network core and at enterprise edge (virtual CPE)
  • Role of WebRTC with SIP Trunks
